The Ghost Inside's Returners

The Ghost Inside (TGI), formed in 2006, from LA, California, previously known as A Dying Dream (sounds cheesy isn't it), this band has released their full-length latest album 'Returners' on June 8th, 2010. Heavy, but easy listening, the whole album sounds like hardcore blended with a bit of melody, not much differences compared to their previous full-length album 'Fury and The Fallen Ones' back in 2008. Full of sing-along. Hardcore and sing-along, that's what we call pure love.

Parkway Drive, a renowned metalcore band originally from Australia, has released their new full-length album 'Deep Blue' by Epitaph Records. Released on June 25th in Australia and on June 29th in Canada and the United States, this album consists of 13 tracks will definitely blast your ears off. This is their third full-length album after releasing two other full-length albums, 'Horizons' in 2007 and 'Killing With a Smile' in 2005.

Cerita Tentang Rokok

A friend of mine baru balik umrah, and he bought a pack of Davidoff Lights for me.

See, the packing looks so cool, but the taste was yucky, rasa macam hisap kertas! haha.

Cakap pasal hisap kertas, I remember when I was 10 or 11-year-old. Masa kecil ni banyak benda influenced dari TV and surrounding. Aku selalu tengok cerita ada orang hisap rokok, and then depan rumah pula ada abang-abang student yang sewa rumah, tengok they all smoked rasa macam cool pula. hahaha.

One day, rasa ingin tahu tu dah menebal gila kentang, aku koyak buku sekolah, aku gulung, then aku bakar pakai stove bakar kertas tu and hisap. Taste like shit!! Aku batuk-batuk, then aku buang kertas tu dalam sink. hahaha. But few months later, aku buat lagi macam tu. Ada sekali ni, dekat kampung, masih dalam lingkungan umur yang sama, aku and my cousin, we both gulung daun yang dah kering, bakar, then hisap dekat tepi rumah. hahahaha.

Tapi that was it, aku tak pernah terfikir about smoking after that. Till this one particular day, aku pergi Jambori Pengakap MRSM Se-Malaysia back in 2002 held in MRSM Lenggong kot. I saw my friend and our senior kept going into the semak samun untuk smoke. Asyik-asyik kena tolong cover line. Then aku macam fikir, pejadah la rasa rokok ni. So, on the way back to KL, when my senior was dividing the shares of that one pack rokok to the shareholders, aku minta la satu, nak try dekat rumah.

Masa tu, tengok budak-budak pegang kotak rokok of 20s rasa macam banyak gila. Bila dah sampai rumah, the next day aku buka tingkap bilik, bakar rokok guna matches, sedut, batuk. hahaha. It was stupid. Satu rumah bau rokok. Aku cover bau by spraying Ridsect and tumpangkan minyak gamat dalam bilik aku. hahaha. Then dalam hati masa tu macam, ish takmo la hisap rokok, tak best.

In 2003, masa tu Form 3, and there was a new intake of Form 4 student. I made new friends. And aku baik dengan this one guy. Bila cuti awal bulan apa tah, he asked me to join him, balik sekali, dia belanja rokok. Masa tu tiba-tiba rasa nak belajar hisap rokok. Aku cakap la aku tak reti hisap, but dia kata ala, dia nak belanja ni. Actually he was a nice guy, cuma dia tak ada idea nak belanja aku apa kot. hahaha.

So masa naik bus, stop at an R&R, ramai-ramai budak Form 4 and Form 5 pergi dekat parking lot at the back of kedai makan. Dengan baju sekolah, cangkung tepi longkang, then they bakar their rokok. Aku blur. Aku lit up macam orang nak bakar mercun. And then a friend of mine, 'Weh, letak kat mulut, bakar, hisap'. hahaha. That time, my batch ramai tak smoke lagi, but after that holiday, semua pun balik bawa rokok, sebab semua pun dah start. Macam dah plan awal-awal kan, but it wasn't, it was coincidence.

That's how I started to smoke. My first cigarette was a treat from a friend. My first pack of cigarettes was a Dunhill Lights 10s. Somehow until today, I still don't like Dunhill King Filter. hahaha. I don't blame my friend for treating me a pack of cigarettes. I just think that I should have said no like I always did back then. Nothing to regret. Lets just find a way to stop. Like mom cakap, 'Have some will power! Baru boleh stop!' :D
